CHOWKHAM, Nov 7: The Namsai district administration on Thursday disbursed relief to the families affected by the arson that had taken place in Mabira village on 25 October. Four houses were gutted in the incident.
The Namsai ADC, along with the Chowkham EAC and the DDMO, handed over cheques amounting Rs 98,900 each to victims Ojen Tayeng, Jiprot Tayeng, Kishan Tayeng and Kaling Perme, at the EAC’s office here.
The relief amount was calculated as per the existing NDRF/SDRF guidelines and norms by a team of officers who undertook the damage assessment. (DIPRO)
