DAPORIJO, Nov 14: The NABARD’s potential linked credit plan (PLP) for Upper Subansiri district was launched by SDO M Riba here on Thursday.
The overall estimated credit potential projected for the district is Rs 2733.08 lakhs for 2020-21, with a major share going to the agriculture sector.
The credit potentials for education, housing, social infrastructure, renewable energy and informal credit delivery system involving bank credit are estimated at Rs 81 lakhs, Rs 24.08 lakhs, Rs 13.60 lakhs, Rs 13.46 lakhs, and Rs 85 lakhs, respectively.
The PLP projections serve as a basis for banks in preparing their annual credit plans.
District Development Manager Mewang Lowang presented a brief on the process of preparation the PLP document in view of the policies of the central government, the RBI and the state government to strengthen rural infrastructure.
