NEW DELHI, Nov 22: Arunachal Governor BD Mishra participated in the informal meeting of governors, preceding the Conference of Governors, at Rashtrapati Bhavan here on 22 November.
Speaking during the meeting, Mishra called for a review of the ‘table of precedence’ which was issued on 26 July, 1979.
“With the march of time, creation of new ranks and posts, changing national and international priority dynamics, and the old Commonwealth protocol losing much of its meaning, many old acceptances have become loose fit, and this calls for a study for recommending the revision to the president of India,” he said.
The governor emphasized the need for forming a study group which could go into the details and recommend appropriate corrections and revisions. (Raj Bhavan)
