NGORLUNG, Nov 23: “Parents should allow their children to choose their own career, rather than forcing them to adopt the parents’ choice of profession,” said Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering during the Annual Day celebration of the Donyi Polo Vidya Niketan (DPVN) here in East Siang district on Saturday.
Describing students as “future citizens of the country,” Ering asked school teachers to “instill a sense of nationalism among young children.”
Among those who attended the programme were Ruksin ADC Kabit Apang, Arunachal Shiksha Vikas Samiti secretary Kaling Dai, DPVN Management Committee Secretary Ojing Aze, and Ruksin GHSS Principal T Padung.
Later, the MLA gave away prizes to the students of DPVN whose performances were adjudged the best during the school’s last annual sports meet.
