Dear Editor,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to request the state’s department and minister concerned to take the lenient view for consideration of the rightful demands and claims made by different staff working under SSA/ISSE in the state for equal pay for equal works.
The authorities should consider the matter for enhancement of salary of SSA/ISSE contractual teachers on the basis of equal pay for equal work as per the orders and judgments pronounced by Apex Court and by High Courts of various states. The matter has also been raised before the Gauhati High Court, Itanagar permanent bench, which is pending for the disposal.
