ITANAGAR, Feb 12: Sports Minister Mama Natung on Wednesday assured the Paralympic Association of Arunachal (PAA) to raise its demand for separate sports quota for the para sportspersons of the state during the upcoming budget session.
Natung gave the assurance, when a team of the PAA, led by its president Nabam James and secretary-general Techi Sonu submitted a memorandum to him here on Wednesday, according to a PAA release.
The association also stated that the sports minister has assured to give directions to the sport department to support the Paralympic Games to be organized shortly.
“The minister further assured of full cooperation and guidance to promote para sports activities in the state to encourage the divyangjans in their field of interests,” the release added.
