DEOMALI, May 7: The HOPE Foundation handed over 3000 homemade masks to the Tirap district administration (DA) on Thursday, which was received by ADC Penga Tato.
HOPE Foundation chairperson Komna Moidam has also led the ‘Mission Mask’ awareness programme in Deomali, Soha, Namsang, Kheti and Khonsa villages from 18 April to 6 May to disseminate knowledge on the Covid-19, and the significance of social distancing, proper hand washing techniques, and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
During the free mask distribution programme, the foundation members also demonstrated its proper usage.
Further, in collaboration with Pune based- NGO Miti Ke Rang, the foundation gave financial support of Rs 1000 each to 13 students of Arunachal stranded outside the state through DBT as minimum support for their essential food items. In addition, the foundation distributed 5 Kg rice each to around 45 labours in Ziro, Lower Subansiri district. It also donated Rs 50,000 to the chief minister’s relief fund through voluntary donation by the foundation.
The foundation has pledged to provide more masks in the future if need arises and requested villagers and public to support and cooperate with the district administration.
