ITANAGAR, Sep 17: The Cycling Federation of India (CFI) has granted provisional affiliation to the Arunachal Cycling Association (ACA) with Mutchu Mithi as the president, paving way for the cyclists of the state to participate in various competitions and national championships organized under the aegis of the CFI.
Stating that getting affiliated to the CFI “is a great achievement for the ACA,” its general secretary Tadar Gunu said the association is indebted to union MoS (Independent) for Youth Affairs & Sports, Kiren Rijiju for helping the association in getting the affiliation.
He said Arunachal has no dearth of sports talents and the young cyclists of the state can bring laurels to the state and the country by winning medals in various cycling competitions, provided they are given the right opportunities and the much-needed exposure.
