CM, Gov greet PM on birthday

ITANAGAR, Sep 17: Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Governor BD Mishra on Thursday wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 70th birthday.

The governor in a message conveyed good wishes on behalf of the state to Modi, and, as a goodwill gesture, donated Rs 1.20 lakh for the welfare of orphans and rescued children.

Mishra expressed hope that the monetary assistance would strengthen the policy of the prime minister for providing better childhood to the orphans and rescued children and enable them to grow up well to shape the future of the nation.

Khandu, who is in home isolation in New Delhi, also extended his best wishes to Modi. The CM also shared many tweets from the state wishing the prime minister on his birthday in his official Twitter handle.

The youth wing of the BJP in the state organized a blood donation camp at the TRIHMS on the occasion.

Virtual rally organized

The state BJP on Thursday organized a virtual rally to mark the 70th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The virtual rally was attended by state BJP president and MLA Biyuram Wahge, BJP secretary (organization) Anantana Narayan Mishra, BJP secretaries Tarh Tarak and Taring Tiri, retired group captain Mohonto Panging Pao, Everester Anshu Jamsenpa, and a host of party karyakartas.

The state BJP had earlier launched a seva saptah (service week) from 14 to 20 September to serve the people of Arunachal, according to a release from state BJP secretary Tadar Niglar. (With PTI input)
