The state police are working out a plan to set up a 20-bedded hospital at the police training centre (PTC) in Banderdewa with the help of the health department to treat police personnel infected with the Covid-19 virus.
DIG (HQ) Madhur Verma shared this with the media on Tuesday. This is a good move and will definitely help the battle against Covid-19.
Police personnel, who are at the forefront in the battle against Covid-19, face a big threat from this virus.
With the number of cases rising and hospitals getting overwhelmed, the hospital run by the APP can be of massive aid to treat police personnel infected with Coronavirus.
At this difficult juncture, everyone should chip in to help. There are various central government departments operating in the state; they also need to explore possibilities of setting Covid care centres for their respective employees to ease the burden on the state government. Many of them have proper infrastructure which can be used in the fight against Covid.
Similarly, religious organizations also own massive infrastructure in the state. It is time they also offer their infrastructures to the government to be used in the fight against Covid-19.
The country and state are going through a tough situation. Everyone will have to play their role to stop the virus from spreading further.
