Slow loris rescued by Indian Army

MIAO, 5 May:  The Lekhapan unit of the Indian Army rescued an endangered Slow Loris from near the army camp here recently.

Later, the animal was released at the Namdapha National Park in the presence of Conservator of Forest cum Field Director Tapek Riba.

The Slow Loris is a nocturnal primate. It has a round head and a narrow snout known for its toxic bite. Slow Lorises are known for their slow and deliberate move with little or no noise. When threatened, they stop moving and act motionless.
