DC alerts counterpart over detection of Covid cases

DAPORIJO, 17 May: Upper Subansiri DC Mika Nyori on Monday sent a WT message to the Kamle DC regarding detection of two new Covid positive cases in Liruk village in Kamle district, adjacent to Daporijo town.

Nyori urged his Kamle counterpart to “immediately initiate necessary action to break the chain from further spreading.”

Meanwhile, Nyori launched the Covid vaccination drive for those aged 18-44 years at the district hospital here.

The DC also issued an order to randomly conduct Covid tests in Daporijo township from 18 May onwards.

Meanwhile, vaccination in-charge Dr Gamik Hankar informed that 83 persons were vaccinated on Monday. He informed that vaccination of those above 45 years will be done from 9:30 am to 1 pm, while those between 18 and 44 years will be vaccinated from 1 pm to 5 pm.
