KHONSA, 1 Jun: Tirap DC Taro Mize informed that household survey will be carried out in every village/area of the district and listing of all 45 years and above persons will be done to improve the coverage of Covishield vaccination.
The DC was speaking during a meeting of the district task force to review the routine immunization performance and the status of Covid vaccination at the DC’s office here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, DRCHO Dr Nidak Angu informed that, as on 31 May, a total of 7,705 beneficiaries had registered for Covid-19 vaccination, while 6,189 received the first dose and 2,333 received the second dose. Also, a total of 8,522 doses have been administered so far, Dr Angu said.
The DC appealed to the ASHAs, anganwadi workers, panchayat members, GBs, village chiefs, religious leaders and local volunteers to help the elderly persons and mobilize intensive village-wise vaccination sessions till 15 June.
Among others, the meeting was attended by DMO Dr N Lowang, ZPC Chathong Lowang and HoDs. (DIPRO)
