KHENEWA, 2 Jun: Bameng MLA Goruk Pordung on Wednesday inaugurated a newly established police station here in East Kameng district in the presence of Western Zone DIGP Kime Aya, the East Kameng DC and the SP.
Pordung appealed to the public of Khenewa to cooperate with the police in maintaining law and order in the area.
The MLA informed the public that Airtel will provide mobile and internet services in Khenewa and Bameng areas and that mobile tower installation works will start from the next month.
He said, “Airtel is likely to provide its services by the end of the year.”
Later, the MLA accompanied by Aya, the DC and the SP inspected the multipurpose indoor hall and the approach road and other projects under construction.
