Editor,
I am writing this article to request the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission to kindly declare the APPSCCE 2020 mains results.
While preparing for this exam I met a friend from Uttar Pradesh with whom I happened to share the same room in a paying guest house in Delhi. We were both preparing for the same state public civil service examination in our own respective states.
He appeared for the UPPSC preliminary examination in October 2020 and mains examination in January 2021, and then the personality test and got final listed in April 2021. Currently, he is already under probationary training, while in our state the preliminary exam was supposed to be held on 17 May, 2020. But due to the spike in Covid-19 cases, it was extended to November 2020 and mains examination to February 2021.
Although the commission had later successfully conducted both the preliminary as well as mains examinations, the commission seemed to have failed in declaring the mains results within the stipulated period of time.
Now it’s going to be five months since we appeared for the APPSCCE mains examination 2020 and it is taking more than a year to complete the recruitment process from the time of its first notifications.
Contrary to our commission, other state public civil service commissions have already completed their recruitment process for the year 2020. Even the UPSC had declared the mains results and notified the date of the personality test. No doubt, the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic has once again interrupted the administrative procedure. However, inordinate delay in declaring the results may only affect the aspirants further, especially those aspirants who are about to hit the upper age bar. Therefore, I pray the commission to declare the results soon.
