ITANAGAR, 15 Jul: The All Arunachal Registered Contractors Association has served a 15-day ultimatum to the state government, starting 14 July, to meet the demands it had submitted to the government earlier.
The association’s demands are for “abolition of the District Based Entrepreneurship and Professionals (Incentives, Development and Promotional) Act, 2015; cancellation of the names of all the government employees and their kith and kin who have registered their names in the contractors’ enlistment list of various working departments; delimitation of contractors’ licence for allowing eligible contractors of the state to participate in global tenders; circulation and awarding to government proposals and their execution within registered contractors of Arunachal Pradesh; and strict vigilance and action upon the charging of percentage by the high-level authorities.”
