AALO, 19 Jul: Following a meeting chaired by Liromoba MLA Nyamar Karbak, it has been decided to donate 100 acres of land belonging to the erstwhile regional hill cattle breeding-cum-demonstration centre, located in Kamki in Kamba circle of West Siang district, for establishment of Rajiv Gandhi University’s (RGU) extension campus.
The DC, the DPO, the DDSE, the DLRSO, the DVO, the ZPC and executive members of Kamki-based Land Owner Welfare Association (LOWA) were present at the meeting.
The LOWA had earlier written to the district authority to settle the land dispute between Reliance Hydropower Ltd and the state government over compensation issue, in order to “pave way for using
the way for better purposes.” The LOWA has also submitted all relevant documents in support of the land donation to the government as required by RGU.
The participants also visited all the plots that have been unused for a long time. (DIPRO)
