DoP foreman Parboty Likha mourned

NAHARLAGUN, 19 Nov: The directorate of printing (DoP) has mourned the demise of its foreman Parboty Likha, who passed away at a hospital in Guwahati (Assam) on 18 November.

She is survived by her husband, two sons and a daughter.

Born to late Techi Talo and Kochum in Balijan (Papum Pare) in 1962, Likha completed her schooling from the Subansiri Seva Ashram Vidyapit in North Lakhimpur (Assam) in 1968, and joined the then information & public relations and printing department as Binder Grade-II in 1981. She was promoted as Binder Grade-I in 2007, then as section holder in 2008, and as foreman in 2017. She served the department for over 40 years.

“Her death is a great loss to the directorate of printing in particular and the state as a whole. The directorate of printing prays to almighty god for eternal peace of the departed soul, and also prays for strength to the bereaved family,” it said in a condolence message. (DIPR)
