TEZU, 12 Feb: Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary, accompanied by Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Tesam Pongte on Saturday visited Hindu pilgrimage site Parshuram Kund in Lohit district.
Daimary called for creating “wider publicity of the piousness of the kund.” He also suggested engaging a voluntary organization for cleaning up discarded cloths from the area.
Pongte informed Daimary that the development of the temple is in progress.
The Wakro EAC informed the visiting dignitaries that “a corpus fund under the temple trust has been proposed to bear the recurring expenses of regular cleaning and upkeep of the whole premises.” (DIPRO)
