ITANAGAR, 12 Feb: Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar on Saturday said that the loan process under the Atmanirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY) and the Atmanirbhar Bagwani Yojana (ANBY) should be made more systematic and user-friendly.
Kumar said this during a meeting here with representatives of banks and government stakeholders.
Online loan processing service under the two schemes is being prepared, and the DCs of Lohit, Tawang and Papum Pare have been entrusted with the responsibility of developing the software in this regard. They will be assisted by a team of the NIC and officers from the agriculture and horticulture departments. The team has been directed to complete the task by 18 March.
“The software should be general in nature, so that other departments could use it for beneficiary-oriented schemes and programmes of the government of India and the state government in their departments,” Kumar said.
It was decided that the sanctions of the remaining accepted applications under the ANKY and the ANBY should be ready for disbursement to the beneficiaries by 20 or 21 February.
A total loan of Rs 32.11 crores was disbursed to different SHGs and individuals across the state on 5 February under the ANKY and the ANBY.
