36-Nari Koyu and 28-Likabali emerge winners
LIKABALI, 23 Feb: In the finals of the fifth edition of district-level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy Tournament played at Chidu-Chigo general ground here on Wednesday, team 36-Nari Koyu football defeated team 28-Likabali in both boys’ and girls’ categories.
Also, in the boys’ and girls’ volleyball competition, team 28-Likabali defeated team 36-Nari Koyu.
The closing ceremony was attended by Lower Siang DMO Dr Nyage Geyi who, in his address, spoke about the importance of sports for the youth.
Kangku CO Kalen Sorah also spoke on the occasion.
A total of eight teams from across the district had taken part in the tournament.
DSO Ajong Sitek, DTO Bishal Aran, PHED AE Durik Kato, DFA secretary Dochi Riram and former ZPM Mito Taipodia were also present. (DIPRO)
