SEREN, 23 Feb: The Nyame Party (Youth group) of Potte village and various other organizations of Seren circle in Lower Siang district and Dhemaji district of neighboring Assam on Wednesday felicitated Daisy Eron Mijiji Ragi of Potte village for winning this year’s Mrs Arunachal title.
Attending the programme, Likabali MLA Kardo Nyigyor said that Daisy’s achievement has not only brought pride to Potte village but the entire Galo society.
Nyigyor urged members of the community to extend logistic support to Daisy so that she can achieve more success in the future.
Speaking on the interstate boundary dispute with Assam, the MLA said that the problem can be solved through negotiation with the boundary dwellers of both sides. He appealed to the people to work with unity to make Lower Siang a model district.
Nari-Koyu MLA Kento Rina appealed to the people to maintain cordial relations with the people of other communities, including those from Assam. He encouraged Daisy to compete at national and international level beauty pageants and bring glory to the state and the country.
Potte Ane Party (Mothers group), members of Muskan Foundation and leaders of Telam unit of Takam Mising Porin Kebang also felicitated Daisy for winning the beauty pageant.
Lower Siang DC Marto Riba, Arunachal Pradesh Abo Tani Confederation chairman Komnga Karlo, ZPMs of Nari-Seren, public leaders, gaon burahs and family members and relatives of Daisy attended the programme.
