BARAK, 23 Feb: Awareness workshops were conducted at Tirap district recently as part of the department of Information & Public Relations’ ‘Arunachal Rising Campaign’ to create public awareness about various state and centrally sponsored government schemes.
The workshops were attended by village chiefs, GBs, PRIs, religious leaders, teachers, ASHAs, and Anganwadi workers from the villages of Barak, Old Dongrong, New Dongrong, Kenon and Phinthing.
Resource persons from the departments of agriculture, horticulture, fisheries and health informed the participants about their respective department schemes.
Pamphlets of various government schemes under state and central flagship programmes were also distributed to religious leaders, teachers, GBs, ASHAs, Anganwadi workers and SHGs by the department of IPR. (DIPRO)
