ITANAGAR, 13 Mar: Governor BD Mishra has conveyed his appreciation for all the people involved in ‘Operation Ganga’ launched by the Indian government to bring back all Indian students and citizens to the country from Ukraine.
He thanked the evacuation team as the last Arunachali student reached New Delhi at 11:45 pm on 12 March.
The governor suggested setting up a permanent cell in the state’s higher & technical education department to record and monitor the details of the Arunachali students pursuing higher studies abroad, “so that their welfare is always promoted by our state.”
“In the hours of crises also, this cell will be an effective medium in coordination,” he added. (Raj Bhavan)
