ITANAGAR, 4 Apr: Education Minister Taba Tedir and RGU Registrar Dr NT Rikam on Monday gave away the prizes to the winners of the online literary competition organised jointly by the sports and literary sub-committee and Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) as part of the 50 years of Arunachal Pradesh celebrations, at the higher & technical education directorate here.
The awardees consisted of students from various parts of India.
Speaking on the occasion, Tedir said that Arunachal has seen major developments in every sector in the last five decades, “and since 2016-17, it has especially seen rapid development in infrastructure and human resource development.”
He appealed to parents to “join the movement against substance abuse, which has affected the youths of the state in recent years.”
The winners of the ‘talent hunt competitions’, Michi Sonyo Lyaniin and Ito Diyum, were also felicitated. The talent hunt competitions were organised from 3-20 February by the PR sub-committee under the chairmanship of MLA Zignu Namchoom.
Two books, 50 Years of Arunachal Celebrations: A Retrospect and 50 Years of Arunachal Celebrations: A Florilegium, were released during the event.
