Spare school from party events

Editor,
On 6 April, ‘Sthapana Diwas’ was celebrated all over India to mark the formation of the BJP.
The Upper Subansiri district unit of the BJP celebrated the Sthapana Diwas in a way which utterly shocked the denizens of the district. The unit took out a rally and procession as a mark to celebrate the day, starting from New Market and culminating at the government higher secondary school in Daporijo, where the karyakartas of the party celebrated and demonstrated their party activities within the school auditorium, which is unthinkable.
Since my nursery to PG, I have never ever seen such type of activities of any political party within the premises of education institutions.
I wonder and why the district administration and the principal of the school gave their approval for the programme.
Was it necessary for a political party to carry out their party activities within the school premises? Aren’t the ‘karyakartas’ aware of the sanctity of any school or institutions? I think every political party has its own offices to do any party activities, rather than in any of the school premises.
Therefore, being an alumnus of the school, I vehemently condemn such type of political party activities within the school campus and earnestly request the district administration and the principal to maintain the sanctity and sacredness of the teaching-learning institutions in the days to come.
