Governor attends conclave

ITANAGAR, 28 Apr: Governor BD Mishra attended a conclave titled ‘Sangosthi’, organised at the Raj Bhavan here by Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) on Thursday as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

During the conclave, Sankaracharya Maharaj of Puri (Odisha)-based Govardhan Math spoke on ‘Spiritual happiness, Bharatiya gyan parampara, and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

He stressed on Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, a Sanskrit phrase which means ‘The world is one family’, and advised all to “live a life for the welfare of others.”

The governor, on behalf of the people of Arunachal, honoured the Sankaracharya on the occasion.

Among others, the governor’s wife Neelam Misra, Education Minister Taba Tedir, RGU VC Prof Saket Kushwaha, local MLA Techi Kaso, and IMC Mayor Tame Phassang attended the programme. (Raj Bhavan)
