NAMSAI, 28 Apr: Sixty farmers and farmwomen from Juna-III and Juna-IV villages participated in a training programme under the Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari (KBPH) campaign, organised by the Namsai KVK at Juna-III village on Thursday.
During the programme, animal science expert Dr Binod Dutta Borah gave information about “the importance of growing of crops for fodder purpose, which will reduce the cost of investment,” while plant protection scientist Dr Madhumita Sonowal Bora spoke about scientific cultivation of maize and management of insect pests in maize.
Nang Nancy Munglung and Mater Chiram of the KVK explained the importance of housing for livestock and managing livestock diseases.
KVK Head Dr Debasis Sasmal also spoke.
