CHANGLANG, 5 Jun: Personnel of the Changlang battalion of the Assam Rifles and the Changlang police apprehended five hardcore operatives of the People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak, Red Army (PREPAK-RA) outfit from Longkey Makangtong in Khimyang circle on 4 June.
All the arrested operatives belong to Manipur. They have been identified as self-styled (SS) major K Tomba alias Liangamba Meitie (32), SS sergeant major Mayamung Zimik alias Agamba (25), SS sergeant major Kh Naocha Singh alias Nokul (34), SS sergeant Abongcha alias Ashok (28), and SS corporal Salam Samlba alias Thouba (32).
They had crossed the Indo-Myanmar border from Myanmar on the night of 3 June after having been trained in Myanmar, Changlang SP Mihin Gambo informed in a release.
