AALO, 10 Jun: A meeting regarding disbursement of relief amounts to the farmers whose agriculture and horticulture crops and fish farms were damaged during the last monsoon (2020-21) was held here in West Siang district on Friday.
During the meeting, chaired by ADC (in-charge) Henkir Lollen, it was decided that the relief amounts will be released as per the guidelines of the government.
It was further decided to seek additional fund from the government, as the present allocation is not sufficient.
It was informed during the meeting that a total of 861.3 acres of agriculture and 22.8 acres of horticulture crops were damaged during the last monsoon. The monsoon also caused damage to 0.36 acres of fish farms and seven residences. (DIPRO)
