ITANAGAR, 15 Jun: With an aim to provide hassle-free service to the public with modern technology, Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) mayor Tame Phassang on Wednesday, launched the mobile app – “IMC-101.”
Speaking to reporters, the mayor said that any person can share their grievances through the app. ‘People can also file complaints about the garbage lying unattended with a click for immediate action,’ he said while appealing the public to download the app.
‘The app is available in android as well as ioS platforms,’ the mayor said.
Informing about the High Court directives on solid waste management plants, and imposing of fines against the person who litters in public places, the mayor informed that during the 10th Business meeting of the IMC on Wednesday, the house has adopted the ‘bye-laws for solid waste management’ as directed by the HC.
The mayor cautioned that with the adoption of bye-laws, IMC will now start imposing fines against those who litter public places or throw garbage on highways.
Regarding traffic congestion and parking lots, the mayor said, ‘Funds for creation of parking lots are available with IMC. The need of the hour is land and its location.’
