BASAR, 2 Jul: The Leparada District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) on Saturday convened an ‘interactive meeting’ with the registered vendors here to develop their skill under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY-NULM).
Leparada DC Mamata Riba, who is also the DUDA chairman, encouraged the vendors to avail the facilities under the programme, while DUDA EE Nabam Kai highlighted the provisions and facilities available under the DAY-NULM.
The vendors were apprised of the ban on single-use plastic, and were sensitised to alternative sustainable sources of livelihood and digital literacy.
Vocational tourism instructor Tummi Nada and IT faculty member Rei Tato highlighted the importance, procedures and provisions of homestay business and use of information technology in businesses. (DIPRO)
