GPRN denounces GoI’s alleged conspiracy to bring division among Nagas

ITANAGAR, 9 Aug: The NSCN/GPRN denounced Indian government’s alleged ‘noxious’ design to sow new seeds of divisions among Nagas particularly, in the Myanmar-occupied Nagaland.

In a press statement, the GPRN said that the Indian intelligence operatives, taking advantage of the current political turmoil in Myanmar, are conspiring with some tainted Naga groups and individuals to incite disunity, hatred and tension among Nagas and destabilize the area.

It alleged that in order to maintain and balance its political influence on Myanmar, India has always played a double game in Myanmar politics.

“To this effect India is aligning with both sides of the conflict and has presently targeted the Naga areas to benefit its nefarious interests,” the press statement said.

It said that there is irrefutable evidence of India and its proxies infiltrating into the eastern Nagaland to form new armed group in the Naga areas along the imposed boundary.

“Their intention is to train and arm the innocent Naga youths to misguide and embroil them in the ongoing Myanmar conflict. This development has created lots of confusion and misapprehension in the Naga homeland,” it said.

“It is no doubt India and Myanmar’s long term malign policy to divide Nagas based on the impose borders which was never accepted by the Nagas. For freedom cause the eastern Nagas suffered unimaginable hardship in their quest to stay united with their western Naga brothers hence strongly rejected the illegal occupation of Myanmar since day one.

“………… we cannot allow the political instability in Myanmar to divide Nagas. Hence, NSCN/GPRN will never tolerate or accept anyone creating anti-naga sentiment and alter the status-quo of the Nagas, particularly in the Eastern Nagaland,” the statement said.

Stating that it strongly opposes any attempt to disintegrate Nagas, the NSCN/GPRN said that it will fight with everything at its disposal to protect the unity and oneness of all Nagas.

The NSCN/GPRN warned all those who are actively involved in forming a new armed group in Eastern Naga areas to immediately desist from the anti-people activity or face stern action as per the law of the party.
