Set a precedent

Editor,

In these times of longing and wandering, I would urge the youths to walk the tracks less explored. The government cannot provide jobs to all the unemployed youths. The success ratio is meagre. Even if one is entirely devoted to this field, success can’t be guaranteed and paper leaks add to the turmoil.

As our state’s economy is in dire need of a boost and there is also lack of human resource, the outsiders are collecting the bits. While the locals are restricting themselves within four walls, the outsiders are minting money and squeezing out the economy elsewhere.

Why not try something out of the box? I would urge the government to encourage local entrepreneurs and go beyond just announcing schemes and implement them practically, so that they can percolate down to the bottom trenches. Our state’s ever-bulging youth potentials need directions and we can’t allow them to lean towards the herd mentality. Everybody is precious, with different potentials. The cries need to be heard and solutions need to be chalked out.

Do you agree?
