BALAPU, 8 Aug: Sagalee MLA Ratu Techi inaugurated the new RCC building of the government upper primary school here in Papum Pare district on Wednesday.
The MLA also visited the health & wellness centre (HWC) here and interacted with the staff.
Later, addressing a public meeting in the school premises, Techi said that “good infrastructures create conducive atmosphere for the students to study,” and exhorted the public to help in the upkeep of government assets.
Responding to a memorandum submitted by School Management Committee Chairman Tana Sania, seeking additional funds with regard to extension of the school’s classrooms, teachers’ quarters, establishment of an inter-village residential school, infrastructure development of the HWC here, an approach road from NH 13 to Pachin village, and a football ground with a rostrum at the government middle school in Gangte, the MLA assured to “take up the proposals in a phase-wise manner.”
He assured to provide Rs 1,50,000 for constructing a footpath to the HWC here.
ZPC Nabam Yakum in her address called for “coordinated efforts from all the government departments for accelerating the socioeconomic activities in the area.” She assured to provide fund for establishing a panchayat office in Gangte.
Among others, Sagalee ADC Higio Yame, DDSE Tana Tagu Tara, Sagalee ZPM Techi Serbang, HoDs, and BJP mandal office president accompanied the MLA. (DIPRO)
