DWS honours retired CE

ITANAGAR, 4 Sep: The Dulom Welfare Society (DWS) in a function here recently honoured Dube Dulom, who retired as chief engineer (n/w zone), Tawang, on 31 August after serving the department for more than 37 years.

Hailing from Dulom village in Sigin-II circle of Upper Subasniri district, Dulom joined the PW department as an assistant engineer in 1987, and was later promoted to the post of executive engineer in 1999.  In 2023, he was promoted to the post of chief engineer.

A renowned technocrat, Dulom was awarded a silver medal in 2002 and a gold medal in 2014 by the state government in recognition of his meritorious services.

Prominent members of the Tagin community, including Chief Engineers Nyai Rigia and Tanu Tamin, Disaster Management Director Komkar Dulom, Tagin Cultural Society secretary-general Tuter Dulom and its executive members, retired DPO Shame Timba, former minister Yari Dulom, retired DDSE Yade Dulom, and retired legal metrology controller Tai Jeram attended the function.
