Growing number of accident cases a matter of concern

The unfortunate death of three persons in a deadly motorcycle collision on the newly opened viaduct in Karsingsa has shocked the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR). Such was the impact of the collision that two persons, identified as Nabam Ajay and Benjamin Sonesara, both riding on the same bike, died on the spot. Another person, Jacob Parah, who had been taken to the hospital in a serious condition, also later succumbed to his injuries. Another person, Lokam Jaju, is also in a very critical condition. The death of three young people is an immense loss to not only their families but also the state.

The accident once again raises serious concern over the growing number of accidents in the ICR. In particular, during winter, when the picnic season arrives, the number of accidents rises across the state. The traffic police alone cannot stop the growing cases of accidents. The citizens will have to adhere to the traffic rules. People should understand that reckless driving can cause fatal accidents. The families suffer so much from such accidents. The emotional trauma that they go through is a very painful experience. This is the first major accident reported from the newly opened viaduct. It is feared that more such accidents might take place in the future. The traffic police should conduct strict checks on the roads of the ICR to minimise accidents.
