Editor,
I am glad to see that the Arunachal Press Club has officially affiliated itself with the Press Club of India. This means that our media is going national and even international. This is inseparable from the efforts of every journalist and media house, which is something to be proud of.
During the monsoon, journalists rushed to the frontline, regardless of danger, reporting on landslides and floods in various regions, so that the government could promptly understand the situation of the people affected by the disasters and provide assistance.
When the government released policies and welfare plans, such as the promulgation of three new criminal laws, it was the reports of media reporters that let us know the changes in the new laws and benefit us better. At the same time, because of the fairness and professional ethics of the media, corruption, sexual violence, drug trafficking and other issues were exposed, so that more victims could get help.
Now, the connection between Arunachal Pradesh media people and the national press has taken an important step.
We also see that The Arunachal Times is gradually reporting on current affairs in the Northeast, which is worthy of recognition. But I also suggest that The Arunachal Times can be more meticulous, only report what is happening in the state in the state news column. News from New Delhi can be placed in the national news column.
Now that the Northeast column has been set up, the news needs to be updated in time, so that if we want to know any news, we can browse the corresponding column.
Finally, I hope that media professionals can always strive for true journalism and maintain the integrity of the profession. I wish The Arunachal Times will do better and better.
