ITANAGAR, 17 Nov: A unique initiative was undertaken in Itanagar as the Abrasumente Academy organized MMA workshop for local journalists.
The workshop, a part of the upcoming Aturto 2.3 event, aimed to introduce media professionals to the basics of mixed martial arts. The workshop, held at the Abrasumente Academy here, provided journalists with an opportunity to learn self-defense techniques and improve their physical fitness. The initiative was seen as a positive step towards promoting a healthy lifestyle and empowering individuals.
Higio Tarak, CEO of Abrasumente Academy, expressed gratitude to the Arunachal Press Club (APC) for their participation and highlighted the academy’s commitment to promoting MMA in the state. He also emphasized the importance of such workshops in fostering a strong and vibrant MMA community in Arunachal Pradesh.
APC president Dodum Yangfo, commended the academy for organizing the workshop and expressed hope for more such initiatives in the future. He acknowledged the physical and mental demands of journalism and emphasized
the importance of self-defense skills for journalists.
Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) general secretary Sonam Jelly, who also participated in the workshop appealed to the academy to organise more such self-defence workshops for the journalists of the state.
The workshop was a successful endeavour that not only benefited the participating journalists but also strengthened the bond between the MMA community and the media.
