Governor extends Constitution Day greetings

ITANAGAR, 25 Nov: Governor K.T Parnaik extended greetings to the citizens of the state on the occasion of Constitution Day.

The day commemorates the adoption and enactment of the Constitution of India on 26 November, 1949.

The Governor expressed hope that the day will inspire everyone to renew his/her commitment to preserve, protect, defend and abide by the Constitution.

Parnaik highlighted contributions of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the President of the Constituent Assembly and first President of India, and Dr. B.R Ambedkar, the Chairman of the Drafting Committee, who played pivotal role in shaping the Indian Constitution.

Paying tribute to the great freedom fighters and framers of the Indian Constitution, the Governor appealed to the people of Arunachal Pradesh to uphold the sanctity of the Constitution, particularly the fundamental duties enshrined in the Constitution.

“Let us dedicate ourselves to the development, progress, and prosperity of our society, state, and nation, embodying the true spirit of our Constitution,” the Governor appealed. (Raj Bhavan)
