PAKKE-KESSANG, 5 Dec: The Pakke-Kessang police have arrested one Vijay Bumich (31), of Harmuti, Assam, for the murder of two persons, identified as Singkap Techi (45) and Mema Gyadi (50), here at 3 December midnight.
While the two died on the spot, a third person, identified as Chuma Techi (25), was critically injured in the attack, Pakke-Kessang SP Tasi Darang informed in a release.
A case [u/s 103(1)/109(2)/117(2) BNS] has been registered at the police station here and further investigation is underway, the SP said.
Darang requested the public not to bring random labourers without proper address proof and character antecedent verification by the police department.
“ILPs should be obtained for the labourers, and their rooms should be kept separate from the house of the employers,” he suggested.
