ITANAGAR, 14 May: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Arunachal Pradesh, organised a Tiranga Yatra from Ganga to Tennis Court, IG Park, in the Capital Region on Wednesday to mark the success of Operation Sindoor and express solidarity with the Indian armed forces.
A large number of participants, including BJP state general secretaries Zingnu Namchoom, Nalong Mize, and Tadar Niglar; MLA Techi Kaso, Mutchu Mithi, and Tojir Kadu; IMC mayor Tame Phassang; Morcha heads; a team from the All Arunachal Ex-Servicemen Association led by its president Tatung Taro; and BJP party karyakartas joined the rally.
Mize, who is also the convener of the Tiranga Yatra, highlighted the unprecedented success of Operation Sindoor. He stated that the operation, carried out under the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marks a historic milestone in India’s fight against terrorism.
Commending the Indian armed forces for their unmatched courage and professionalism, Mize noted that Operation Sindoor successfully neutralised over 100 terrorists and destroyed multiple terror bases, including airbases deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). He said the operation is a clear demonstration that India is now strong, decisive, and uncompromising when it comes to national security.
He also underscored the unwavering support of the people of Arunachal Pradesh for the armed forces. “This bold and calculated strike reflects the strength and maturity of India’s evolving security doctrine-one that goes beyond mere retaliation,” Mize stated.
He disclosed that similar Tiranga Yatras will be organised at the district and mandal levels across the state to honour and express solidarity with the Indian armed forces.
While appreciating the achievements of Operation Sindoor, Techi Kaso warned Pakistan to refrain from engaging in terrorist activities, stating that any such actions would be met with strong consequences.
Air Commodore (Retd.) Rinchin Dorjee Musabi also commended the Indian armed forces for the success of Operation Sindoor. Stating that Pakistan is nurturing terrorists and supporting terrorism, he urged the people of Pakistan to understand the reality and reject pro-terrorism policies.
Tatung Taro also warned Pakistan, stating that India will show no mercy for any future misdeeds. He emphasized that continued provocations could lead to the end of Pakistan’s malicious intentions, as India stands firmly with its armed forces and national integrity.
State secretary Taring Tiri and state Yuva Morcha general secretary Tame Siyang also spoke on the occasion.
In Namsai district, under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, residents organized a Tiranga Yatra on Wednesday-from 2nd Mile Junction to the district secretariat in Namsai-to honour the Indian Armed Forces following the success of Operation Sindoor.
