YUPIA, 14 May: India sealed their spot at the top of group B of the SAFF U-19 Championship after a 4-0 victory over Nepal at the Golden Jubilee Stadium here on Tuesday.
Rohen Singh Chaphamayum (28, 76 mins) scored two goals, while local boy Omang Dodum (29 mins) and Danny Meitei (84 mins) netted one each.
India finished Group B with six points from two matches, with a goal difference of 12. Nepal finished second with three points from their two matches.
The hosts will face Maldives at 7.30 pm on 16 May, while Bangladesh will play Nepal at 3.30 pm in the semi-finals on the same day.
Earlier in the day (Tuesday), Maldives drew 2-2 against Bhutan to finish second in Group A.
By dint of this result, Maldives got two points from their two matches, and finished second behind Bangladesh.
