ROING, 30 Jun: A total of 38 meritorious students were felicitated with the Pertin Bodum Ba:né Kébang (PBBK) Excellence Awards during the PBBK’s academic award ceremony organized at the Meka Mu:sup here in Lower Dibang Valley district on Sunday.
The ceremony also featured a comprehensive academic review report presentation by Obang Pertin, the chairman of the Academic Award Committee (AAC-PBBK), which was followed by the felicitation of awardees, including meritorious students and PhD recipients.
Speaking on the occasion, former commissioner to the GoAP, Belatee Pertin highlighted the importance of academic pursuit in nation-building through one’s community. “Such an event, which encourages young achievers, is a foundational step to reorient the academic counts in a close-knit society like ours,” he said, and advised all to learn to adjust with the society and to think out of the box and excel further.
Former research & documentation director Batem Pertin, PBBK president Bijoy Pertin, PHE&WS (CZ) Chief Engineer Kirpa Pertin, retired agriculture joint director Nini Pertin, and former ABK vice president Mibom Pertin also spoke on the occasion.
