KHONSA, 31 Jul: A drivers’ waiting shed was inaugurated by a retired government driver of the Tirap district administration, Moniram Upadhyay, at the DC office premises here, in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Techu Aran on Thursday. The inauguration was held to coincide with farewell ceremony of Upadhyay.
The waiting shed was sponsored by the Power Grid under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Addressing the officials at the farewell ceremony held at DC office, Aran lauded the sincerity, discipline, and dedication of Upadhyay throughout his years of service. The DC extended his best wishes for a happy post-retirement life to Upadhyay with his family.
Upadhyay expressed gratitude to the DC and his staff for organizing the event, and for giving him the honour of inaugurating the shed.
Several officers and staff members also spoke on the occasion. They commended Upadhyay for his invaluable service to Tirap district in particular and Arunachal Pradesh as a whole. (DIPRO)
