CHIMPU, 31 Jul: The Chimpu police recently cracked a case involving the theft of a Lenovo tablet and an LPG cylinder, and arrested one Arjun Bagangin this regard.

The police on 24 July received a written complaint from one Deepak Kumar, a resident of Agam Colony, Gohpur, Itanagar, reporting the theft of his Lenovo tablet and one Indane LPG cylinder from his rented accommodation.

Based on the complaint, a case was registered at the Chimpu PS, and investigation was entrusted to SI Tamo Bakhang.

Despite having no immediate leads, the Chimpu police team launched a focused investigation, using a combination of technical surveillance, field inquiries, and local intelligence activation. Through sustained efforts, Bagang was identified as the key suspect.

Acting swiftly, the police apprehended the suspect. During sustained interrogation, Bagang confessed to the theft, and on the basis of his disclosure, both the Lenovo tablet and the LPG cylinder were recovered and seized in accordance with legal procedures.
