YINGKIONG, 1 Aug: A two-day block level training programme on the Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI 2.0) and Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) began here in Upper Siang district on Friday.
Organized under the aegis of the union Panchayati Raj Ministry, and facilitated by the State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD&PR), the programme was inaugurated by District Panchayat Development Officer Nijohn Daggen.
In his inaugural address, Daggen emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among all line departments. He urged the block-level heads of departments to extend full cooperation and maintain synergy with the Panchayati Raj Department to ensure timely completion of PAI 2.0 activities as per the deadline set by the ministry.
The training is being conducted by SIRD&PRAssistant Director SW Bagang, consultant Sujit Kundu, and DNO/MTs Anand Jopir.
The sessions aim to build capacity among departmental functionaries on the PAI 2.0 framework, data validation processes, and the integration of LSDGs at the gram panchayat level. (DIPRO)
