LIKABALI, 1 Aug: Lower Siang Deputy Commissioner Rujjum Rakshap reviewed the functioning of the District Task Force on Immunisation (DFTI), besides SDC activities, during a meeting of the District Health Society (DHS) he chaired here on Friday.
Expressing satisfaction over the progress of works, the DC said that “the data on health status should be a true reflection of the health status of the population.”
He added that the services of health workers cannot be compromised and taken for granted at any cost,and expressed his desire to involve the services of the administrative machinery of the district to expand services delivery to every nook and corner of the district to achieve the set target.
District Medical Officer Dr Nyage Geyi said that “the coverage and drop rates of MR in the district should be within the prescribed limit.” He stressed on the need to monitor unauthorised opening of laboratories in the district, and requested the district administration to initiate necessary checking and verification.
Dr Geyi asked the MOs of PHCs, CHCs and SCs to ensure that the ambulances provided to them are always kept in good running condition to cater to the needs of the people.
DRCHO Dr Tai Riso apprised the DHS members of the latest trends in national health campaign endeavours, and the unwavering efforts of the state machineries to achieve the targets within stipulated timelines.
All the nodal officers and MOs from all the health centres participated in the meeting and shared ways to further the implementation of the healthcare programmes launched by the government. (DIPRO)
