On 3 August, similar weather conditions are expected in East Kameng, West Kameng, West Siang, Namsai, Lower Dibang Valley, and Kamle districts. Additionally, very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is likely in isolated parts of Papum Pare, Anjaw, and Lohit districts.
The Arunachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has alerted the residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
The authority further warned that the current weather pattern could trigger flooding, landslides, waterlogging, lightning strikes, and falling trees, potentially disrupting essential services.
It advised daily commuters and long-distance travellers to avoid travel during periods of intense rainfall.
Residents in low-lying or landslide-prone areas, including those living near hillsides or in areas with ongoing construction, have been advised to stay alert for flashfloods and other hazards.
The public has been strongly encouraged to stay updated through official weather bulletins and follow instructions issued by the district and state authorities.
The APSDMA stated that both the State and District Disaster Management Authorities (SDMA and DDMAs) are monitoring the situation closely, with emergency response systems on high alert. The agency said it will continue to provide necessary updates to ensure public awareness and safety.
