PASIGHAT, 8 Aug: The East Siang district police are continuing intensified inner line permit (ILP) checking across all jurisdictions, with targeted operations currently underway in the jurisdictions of the Pasighat, Sille-Oyan, Mebo, and Ruksin police stations.
Dedicated police teams are conducting sudden inspections at marketplaces, labourers’ camps, business establishments, and transit points to detect individuals without valid documentations. As per procedure, ILP violators are being produced before the executive magistrates for necessary proceedings.
The district police have urged all citizens, contractors, and landlords to ensure that individuals under their employment or tenancy possess valid and up-to-date ILPs to avoid any inconvenience.
The authority has cautioned that non-compliance will attract strict legal action in accordance with prevailing laws and state guidelines. (DIPRO)
